Our Diagnostic Services

The advanced diagnostics at our in-house veterinary laboratory allow our veterinarians to accurately diagnose your pet's medical issues.

  • Junior & Senior Bloodwork Panels

Bloodwork panels help us diagnose a range of conditions and illnesses in both young and geriatric pets, to reveal whether a pet is healthy enough for anesthesia, or to establish a baseline for "normal" health in an individual animal.

Blood tests can reveal when diseases, from diabetes to hypothyroidism, Cushing's disease and others, are in progress.

Early detection of disease allows us to extend your pet’s life by intervening long before your pet shows any outward signs or symptoms. Just as an example, the kidneys can be up to 75% damaged before your pet starts showing outward signs!

  • Radiography (Digital X-Rays)

We use a radiograph (digital x-ray) to examine your pet's internal systems and reveal information that we may not be able to see from the outside.

This safe, painless procedure is non-invasive and uses only very low doses of radiation. Because we need a very low level of exposure to radiation, even very young pets and pregnant females are able to undergo this procedure.

Our vets can use radiographs to evaluate organs and bones, and to diagnose conditions including bladder stones, spinal cord diseases, some tumors, chronic arthritis and fractured bones.

  • Ultrasound

With ultrasound imaging, part of the body is exposed to high-frequency sound waves to produce images of the body's internal structures.

The ultrasound images are captured in real-time, allowing us to see the structure and movement of your pet's internal organs, as well as the blood which flows through the blood vessels.
